Bright Axis Updates & Book Errata

The Bright Axis tee was originally released in 2020 as part of my Knit Happy with Self Striping Yarn book. Since the book was released, many knitters have knit this tee (THANK YOU TO ALL THE RAINBOW KNITTERS!!!). Below you will find the book errata and information on the updated stand alone pattern.

Bright Axis Updates

When I self-published the stand alone pattern (in 2025), I chose to make some minor updates to the pattern. If you have the book, and would like the updates, you can find them below.

MEASUREMENTS

Based on feedback from knitters, I have chosen to provide a fixed length for the body of this tee. In the original pattern in the book, the LENGTH OF THE BODY varied by size. However, in the stand alone pattern, the LENGTH OF THE BODY is 10.75 inches / 27 cm for ALL SIZES. I have provided a table of the new meausurements AND the original measurements below.

These measurement changes also affect the final yardage recommendations for the MAIN COLOR (the body color). Scroll down to see the new yardage recommendations.

NEW & UPDATED MEASUREMENTS

Below are the NEW & UPDATED measurements from the BRIGHT AXIS stand alone pattern. You will see that the (B) LENGTH OF BODY and the (G) TOTAL LENGTH have been updated in the stand alone pattern.

[NOTE: The yardages recommended in the stand alone pattern and the book include a 15% security.]

Book Errata

This is errata below is for the Bright Axis tee from the Knit Happy with Self Striping Yarn book. This is NOT errata for the stand alone pattern. The stand alone pattern is updated on Ravelry & tellybeanknits.com if/when errors are found.
